Organiser: David Watts
Map: OS Explorer 172, 160
Distance: 24.5 km / 15 miles
Start: Maidenhead Railway Station
Booking deadline: 17:00, Thursday 10th August
This walk is accessible by train as well as by car. There are regular GWR trains from London Paddington and there's the Elizabeth Line too. This is a circular walk once we get to the western edge of Maidenhead. The first half of the walk has some easy hills with the second half being fairly flat. There will be several stops on the walk, including the Dew Drop Inn (for drinks), a lunch stop, a visit to a cafe (does amazing cakes!), and a stop at the Watts' house (for refreshments in the garden). If you wish to join this walk you must contact David before 5pm Thursday 10th August (a link is on the Ibex website) so that he can email registered participants full joining instructions and the walk route. If a large number of participants register, the walk may be split into more than one group.
Catch the xx:xx train from London Paddington, or use the Elizabeth Line (check train times). Please check with www.tfl.gov.uk and www.nationalrail.co.uk for any timetable alterations before travelling. For the possibility of buying a GroupSave ticket (3-9 adults travelling together get 1/3 off), please meet at <to be advised> at xx:xx and look out for other members of Ibex.
Full joining instructions will be emailed to participants by the organiser after the booking deadline.
