The walk is part of the Capital Ring from Eltham to Crystal Palace (stages 2 and 3 in the Capital Ring guidebook) passing by Eltham Palace. and other interesting locations including a little-known view of London, the house where the cricketer W G Grace lived, and Beckenham Place Park. The route links open parks and pleasant residential areas, finishing at Crystal Palace Park near good train and bus links and plenty of pubs and cafes. Bring suitable boots as the parks can be muddy in winter weather!
Day walks are open to Club Members and Prospective Members alike. There is no charge for attending, but you do need to book with the organiser via the website.
