Viv Palmer is organising a camping weekend at Hartland Caravan & Camping Park, on the Hartland peninsula in North Devon. It is a friendly, family run campsite. They do not overfill the site so early booking is advised. Facilities include toilets, hot showers, washing up, electric hookup & freezing of ice packs.

The campsite is located within walking distance of Hartland Village where there are 3 pubs/restaurants, a café, and a shop. There is a pub/restaurant & café at Harland Quay and another restaurant within walking distance of the camp site.

Two circular walks can be done from the camp site and there is good coastal walking right down to Bude, with plenty of places to swim, including Hartland Quay. It will be possible to find coffee/cream tea stops on all the walks.

The cost is £20 for 2 people sharing a tent and £12.50 for single occupancy. Electric hook up is £5 a night. There is local accommodation for non-campers, but early booking is advised. Please arrange this yourselves. The camp site rents out caravans and this would provide reasonably priced accommodation for 3 to 5 people sharing.
