Join us for a weekend exploring an unspoilt area of south Snowdonia based at the Bryn Hafod hut, run by The Mountain Club Stafford and located in the Cwm Cywarch valley about 5 miles north of Dinas Mawddwy. There is plenty of walking from the doorstep, including routes up Aran Mawddwy and Glasgwm, with Cadair Idris just a bit further afield. Car parking is available at the National Park car park nearby, about a 10 minute walk from the hut along a good farm track. The hut provides accommodation for up to 18 visitors (we will have sole use of the large 12 bedded room and possibly the smaller family room for 4-6 depending on whether there are other bookings) and includes a large, well equipped kitchen, comfortable lounge with a woodburning stove, drying room and showers. Note that bedding and towels are not provided. Public transport options are quite limited; the nearest train station is Machynlleth, about 20 miles away.
